The incinerator is a rotary kiln with an air emission pollution control system. Its primary and secondary chambers have operating temperatures of 850 deg C and 1200 degree C which results in 99.99% destruction and removal efficiency.
The Rotary Kiln incinerator is capable of handling solid, liquid and sludge waste streams simultaneously. Designed with multiple feed streams, dual combustion chambers, rapid cooling and wet scrubbing systems, it is able to destroy and remove 99.99% principle hazardous waste. The incineration process is being monitored by continuous emissions systems (CEMS) in order to ensure the compliance with National Air Emission Standards and the special incinerator emission standards. Veolia is currently the only NEA - licensed waste collector to handle disposal of chlorinated aromatics wastes within Singapore.
