Chemical Fixation & Encapsulation

 

Fixation/stabilization service involves deployment of binders such as silicates and calcium aluminates which solidify and stablise the hazardous waste.

 

The stabilized waste is then tested to certify compliance with National Environment Agency (NEA)’s solid waste disposal guidelines before shipment to the landfills.

 

In-house laboratory

 

The in-house laboratory provides an extensive range of testing capabilities to cater for both internal and external customers needs. Equipped with analytical instruments such as ICP-OES system for heavy metal analysis, GCMS system for organic analysis, an Ion chromatography system for anion analysis and other instrumentation to analyze parameters such as Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), pH, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), water content of organic solvents, and calorific value of our organic waste streams, Veolia is able to provide ad-hoc analytical testing upon customers’ request.

 

Warehousing & Logistics

 

As for the warehousing and storage capacities, the onsite tank farm and underground tanks, along with the storage racks for storage of IBCs and drums allows us to store approximately more than 1.5 million litres of waste.

 

The logistical capabilities include a transportation fleet of more than 20 vehicles, which includes ISO-tankers, vacuum tanks, and various sized lorries of capacity ranging from 5.5 tons to 20 tons.
